Driver Hire Franchisee Wins Award

Driver Hire franchisee, Jayne O’Flynn, who is director at Driver Hire Grimsby & Scunthorpe has won the ‘Business Woman of the Year” award from the Work Wise Women (WWW) networking group. The group aims to improve opportunities and help expand knowledge for women in the Grimsby area.

Jayne has been recognised for her hard work, outstanding commitment and proven professionalism in her daily business life. After starting their Driver Hire franchise in 2016 they have seen tremendous success with a 30% increase of turnover on the previous year. Jayne has also used her business skills to good effect by raising £5,500 for local children's charity, ‘When you wish upon a star’.

The judging panel said: ““Jayne and her husband Michael are new to the area. But this hasn’t stopped her developing a highly successful business. She’s a woman operating in transport & logistics which is still a male dominated industry and a round the clock, 365 days a year operation. Through her dedication, hard graft and excellence in customer service delivery, business turnover, customers and drivers have increased rapidly. And, of course, we are very impressed with her support for the local community.”

Jane has said about enjoying the freedom of being her own boss, adding: : “Taking on our first business venture is proving to be a great experience. I love Driver Hire and being my own boss. It was a very pleasant surprise to discover that my efforts had been noticed and were considered worthy of this award.”
