Kishan Pala, Managing Director of Leicester’s new Walfinch home care service, sees home care as a natural extension of his passion for helping others:

I love doing something for the local community – which is what attracted me to starting a business in home care,” he explains. His involvement with the charity Go Dharmic, which provides free meals to anyone in need, has reinforced his belief in the power of giving back. When he discovered Walfinch, he knew it was the right fit, as its values closely matched his own.

From Family Business to Personal Care

Kishan comes from a family that has run a jewellery business in Leicester for 40 years, an experience that has shaped his approach to customer service. Over the years, he has seen families return time and again, marking life’s key moments with special purchases. “It’s not just about selling—it’s about building trust,” he says.

He plans to bring this same personal touch to his home care service, ensuring that every client receives the individual support they need.

A Tree for Every Client

Beyond providing quality care, Kishan wants to make a lasting impact on both people and the environment. His team will plant a tree for every client, inviting both carers and clients to take part in the process: “Spending time in nature is proven to benefit both physical and mental health, and we can all feel good about improving the environment”. The initiative is set to begin this spring.

Walfinch Leicester will also introduce the Walfinch Thrive Club, offering exercise classes, arts and crafts, and other activities open to clients, their families, carers, and the wider community. “We want to help everyone in our area to thrive,” says Kishan.

As he prepares to launch Walfinch Leicester, his vision is clear:

I believe high-quality care is one of the essentials of building an ethical society – and I want to be a part of that.
