Wok to Walk digs into the UK

Wok to Walk has been focusing its efforts on its UK expansion to increase its presence across the country
Wok to Walk has experienced plenty of global success in recent years, but 2018 is shaping up to be a particularly exciting year for the brand as it celebrates the opening of even more branches across the world.
One of the main ambitions of the noodle bar franchise was to increase its number of UK locations this year. After signing contracts with influential groups such as Starboard Dining and Gerry Offshore, Wok to Walk has been able to open exciting new locations in Reading, Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester and bring a taste of Asia to even more customers across the country. The new openings bring the number of UK locations to 13, a number which certainly isn’t unlucky for the company and boosts its number of worldwide locations to over 100.

Commenting on the UK expansion Matteo Frigeri of Seeds Consulting (who manages business development for the franchise internationally), said:
“There is not a single Wok to Walk unit in the UK that is not delivering solid profitability. As a result, their franchisees - which are all experienced restaurant operators - are pursuing an aggressive expansion plan over the coming months. This does not mean there are no opportunities left to join the brand as areas like the South Coast, Newcastle, Scotland and Ireland are still available, although not for long."
Cristina Piera, CMO of Wok to Walk explained that the UK has been an “excellent market” for the franchise and that records are broken for sales and profitability year after year.
Wok to Walk hopes to solidify its position as Europe’s number one wok kitchen concept with the new openings but has also been pursuing expansion in other areas. The company opened its first branches in India, Australia, Cyprus, Israel and Malta in 2018 and hopes to quickly expand its presence across each country.
