Street Taste receives glowing review in Leicestershire Live

The fast food franchise was recently the feature of an article for the Leicester Mercury, in which Becky Jones reviewed the Leicester city centre branch of Street Taste.
Becky (and Leicestershire Live) has been in search of some of the best global food lately, and in Street Taste, she’s found it. The fast food franchise was delighted to feature in her review of its second Leicester location, in which its delicious rolled ice cream takes centre stage. In Becky’s words, “Having already had a peek at the exciting interior, and been impressed by the look of the menu, I decided to pop down and sample the Street Taste Co experience.”
Becky continued, “As soon as you walk into the London Road eatery, you're met with bright colours and lots of quirky features including a zebra and an elephant on the wall, and a monkey in a tree! Seating includes swing seats in either window, and there's even a tuk tuk, which has been cleverly converted into the ice cream-making area. There's a fun atmosphere about the place, and the Indian music playing in the background helps you to feel like you've been transported from the streets of Leicester to a city 4,000 miles away.”
With endless delicious food and drink on offer, it was tough to choose. But Becky decided to go with a Bombay sandwich, along with coconut water. She said, “The coconut water arrived within five minutes of me placing my order, and the look of it, presented in the coconut, made me smile. The water, which is found naturally in the fruit, tasted lovely too - cool and refreshing with a mild coconut flavour. It made a good companion to the spicy toasted Bombay sandwich, which was on my table a few minutes later.”
This sandwich consisted of three slices of toasted bread “and a generous amount of filling, comprising green chutney, garlic chutney, slices of cucumber, tomato and onion, plus spicy mashed potato and gooey melted cheese”. The chips served with the sandwich were crisp, tasty, and elevated by a “slightly spicy seasoning”.
When Becky was done, she still had room for dessert, and was very impressed with Street Taste’s rolled ice cream. She said, “The result was as impressive as the process, with the pretty pink ice cream having a delicious rose flavour. The nuts and vermicelli, and what I think were sweet basil seeds, gave it an interesting texture too.” Find out more about launching your own vibrant, exciting branch of Street Taste via the franchise’s profile page, which you’ll discover linked above.
