Signarama franchisees win big

Two of Signarama’s franchisees have scooped fantastic awards at a signage industry expo.

Signarama has shone the spotlight on two of its top franchisees, Dawn Homa and Allison Kast-Eichenberg, after they were chosen for a prestigious award at the Speciality Graphic Imaging Association Expo in Las Vegas.

The two women received the ‘Women In Print’ awards, meaning Signarama was able to claim a third of the six awards on offer, a testament to the strength of its business model and its franchisees. The award was designed to recognise exceptional women working in the print industry, and Homa and Kast-Eichenberg certainly fit that description after nurturing their respective signage franchises from conception to success.

Since setting up her first Colorado branch in 2006, Homa has expanded the location twice and added another franchise in 2010. As an active member of the Colorado Sign Association, she says the key to her success is making contacts in the community and never turning down opportunities provided by the association to continue learning. She also says that hiring hard-working, committed employees who are on board with the ethos of Signarama and encouraging your team never to stick to the status quo will help achieve excellence.

Homa said she was “humbled and excited to receive this prestigious award” and thanked her employees for making it possible.

Kast-Eichenberg owns a branch of the sign franchise in Chandler, Arizona, with her husband. Together they have claimed numerous awards, notably for having an incredibly creative design team and the top salesperson in the entire franchise. She was also instrumental in setting up the grant programme ‘Signs of Hope’, which provides free or heavily discounted signage for local non-profits and charities.

Commenting on her 11 years with Signarama, she said: “One of my favourite parts of owning a Signarama franchise are my relationships with other Signarama owners, and the opportunities that it has provided for personal and professional growth. I work with an incredible team of employees, and with the recent purchase of our very own building, it is an exciting time. I am grateful for the work I do, the people I do it with, and my extended Signarama network all over the world."
