A new Rosemary franchise is opening in Warrington this October.

As part of its offering, the bookkeeping franchise awards new partners their own exclusive territory, consisting of approximately 10,000 small businesses for a period of five years.

Alan Trewhitt, who has been in accounting for 34 years, has secured the Warrington territory, after deciding he was ready to start working “for himself, but not by himself”.

Alan spent a month researching the venture before investing. While franchising doesn’t require any previous industry experience, Alan wanted to stick to work he was comfortable doing, and believes “there are no other businesses out there like Rosemary. They leave accountants to do what they need to do.”

Because of COVID-19 restrictions, Alan’s training and onboarding was hosted completely remotely. The training academy was held for five days over Microsoft Teams, where Alan participated in workshops with different team members. He received extensive support on all the business disciplines needed to run his new venture.

When asked what he’s most looking forward to about franchising, Alan said the flexibility. Rosemary allows franchisees to operate how they choose, working anywhere and at any time of day. Alan’s looking forward to spending more time with his family, especially his grandson, and building his work hours around them.

“Our business model has been specifically designed to work around your lifestyle, providing a scalable system that can be juggled around family life or transformed into a management opportunity for those hoping to support a team of bookkeepers,” says the franchise. “With the Rosemary System, you can choose the hours that work for you.”

Over the next few years, Alan hopes to scale up his business into a multi-territory operation – something Rosemary fully supports.
