Reeds Rains starts the celebrations in honour of 150 years in business

Estate agents Reeds Rains has been celebrating a whopping 150 years in business the way that all special occasions should be celebrated – with a slice of cake.

Thanks to satisfied client Tracie Fry, the franchise’s Portishead office, which is just outside the city of Bristol, received a homemade cake to bring the celebrations in with. The creative treat was baked and decorated to look like a house and was given to the branch as a way to say thank you after the estate agents did an excellent job of selling Fry’s house. She said:

“It is a bit of a belated thank you gift as Reeds Rains sold our home very quickly for us last year, but when I saw it publicised that it is celebrating its 150th birthday I thought it would be a nice gesture to create a fitting cake for it.”

The estate agency franchise has plenty more celebrations planned to mark the milestone year. These include making donations to charities, so that the less fortunate can benefit from the franchise’s fantastic success too and hosting a party for the people who have contributed to the company’s longevity. Reeds Rains also plans to make and bury a time capsule, so that when it celebrates its next milestone birthday it can look back on its long history.

The franchise has also been named as a sponsor of the Portishead Home Show, which brings together a selection of cutting-edge products that are currently on the market for the home, lifestyle and gardening industries.
