Brother team from Huddersfield, Teyeb and Unzar Aleem, have recently opened an exquisitely refurbished Creams British Luxury shop in Leeds city. Not only have they invested £350,000 in its refurbishment, they are aiming to open 100 shops in the next five years with great hopes to ‘do for the traditional afternoon teas what Starbucks has done for coffee'.
The brothers launched the Creams British Luxury shop in 2015 and have since rolled out an ambitious franchise scheme across the UK. This year alone, they have invested £400,000 in Creams British Luxury, opening shops in Bolton, Derby, Canterbury, Bluewater and Kent. Other shops are in the pipeline and soon to open its doors in Livingston and two in central London. The pair have appointed franchise expert Mark Lemmon to help them develop a franchise programme that is currently underway across the UK with plans to soon expand in India and the Middle East. The brothers have already created over 70 jobs and plan on creating 300 more by 2020. Teyeb Aleem, who is operations director, said: "There's a big gap in the high street market for a high quality, high class tea room aimed at the thousands of aspirational millennials seeking to replicate the sophisticated lifestyles of the celebrities they see on TV and online, and follow on social media.
"Creams British Luxury aims to fill this gap and do it in a fashion that ensures young people can savour a taste of the celebrity high life without having to venture outside their local city centre or shopping centre.
The demand for quintessentially British products in overseas markets is incredibly high and CREAMS ticks all the boxes.”
Brother Unzar Aleem, managing director, added: "We believe we now have the perfect offer to entice new franchisees, which combines perfectly with a 5,000-sq. ft. facility in Leeds, where we manufacture all of our cakes, macarons, confectionery and savouries, meaning we retain absolute control over the quality of goods being sold by CREAMS."
Creams British Luxury can do for the traditional afternoon teas what Starbucks has done for coffee.
"We really are that confident."
