Heritage Healthcare launches national recruitment campaign

Heritage Healthcare is looking forward to a more stable year for the care sector.

As the experts predict more stability for the healthcare industry in 2020, one care franchise is encouraging more professionals to join the sector. Heritage Healthcare has initiated its #DoSomethingAmazing campaign in the North East, before it is taken nationwide next month.

This newfound hope comes after The Health Foundation appealed to the Conservative government to put more focus on investing in healthcare staff. According to Heritage Healthcare, social care workers have diminished in number by nine percent as a result of low wages and uncertainty surrounding Brexit. By 2028, the shortfall is expected to reach 400,000.

But Heritage Healthcare CEO, Glenn Pickersgill, is looking forward to “the beginnings of some stability” in the sector, now that there’s “some certainty” around Brexit. To kick off the campaign, the home care franchise is appointing four new healthcare assistants in North East England.

Pickersgill is urging potential candidates to come forward.

“It’s … the ideal time to launch our campaign, which is a celebration because being a carer is more than just a job.

“Care workers and healthcare assistants take great pride, not only in the fact they are giving something back to their clients when they need it most, but also to their local communities by helping people to live independently for as long as they can, which reduces the burden on the NHS and other social services. It’s a hugely rewarding career.”
