Fortem & Mode shares a typical day in its life

One of the franchise’s people has given the world a glimpse into what a typical day in her working life looks like.
Dionne, staffing executive with the specialist recruitment franchise, shared her daily routine to give prospective franchisees and staff a better idea of what their days could look like.
First things first, the commute. For Dionne, who is just a 20-minute walk from her office, the day begins at a very reasonable 8:30am. Once she’s settled at her desk, she makes sure everyone has checked in and is ready to get started.
Most of the morning flies by in a blur of emails, applications and checking in with staff to make sure everyone’s on track. As well as helping to place candidates in specialist beauty and fragrance roles across the country, Dionne’s also responsible for finding consultants to work within Fortem & Mode.
“Recruitment is first and foremost what I do. I am constantly on the lookout for the best consultants, so I make sure I’m available throughout the day to conduct staff interviews. Once they’re done, I make sure to type up my notes onto our staff database, as we refer back to these every time we make a booking. Every job is different, so it’s worth really getting to know the strengths of each consultant.”
After a busy afternoon reviewing more vacancies, candidates and getting to know new stores, the day comes to a close. Dionne says she ends the day by preparing for the next one so she’s always ahead of her to-do list.
“Finally, I review what I have to get done tomorrow. I prioritise doing this so I’m ahead of the game. Every day brings new challenges, so I know this list isn’t set in stone. Bring it on!”
