The UK’s leading specialised recruitment franchise, Driver Hire swept away with 2017 silver medal in the British Franchise Association’ HSBC Franchisor of the Year Awards. Impressed by Driver Hire’s dedication and commitment to ethical franchising and its strong web of support geared towards helping its franchisees succeed, the judges finally awarded the group who have been shortlisted for the award for 11of the last 12 years.
Driver Hire celebrates its 30th year in franchising and with 92 franchised offices across the UK, it supplies temporary and permanent staff to business and organisations that operate commercial vehicles and offers driver training and driver risk management systems. Driver Hire’s chief executive officer, Chris Chidley, says: “For over 30 years we’ve been helping our franchisees to achieve great business success and excellent financial rewards. We realise that we work in a highly competitive market, and to be recognised as one of the best franchisors out there is a huge achievement. It will certainly help us recruit more franchisees and take the business to even greater heights.”
When interviewed, the British Franchise Association’s chief executive officer, Pip Wilkins said: “Driver Hire’s achievement is truly inspiring and as judges, we couldn’t help but notice the team’s sheer dedication to its network of franchisees. We are excited to see how the business grows and shapes itself in the near future.”
The Head of Franchising at HSBC, Andrew Brattesani, added: “All finalists were exceptional and therefore selecting the winners was a difficult decision. I was genuinely impressed by Driver Hire and wish the team further success as they grow their business.”
National provider of homecare, Bluebird took the gold and cost management and procurement consultancy, Expense Reduction Analysts, the bronze.
