Driver Hire made the finals of the BFA HSBC Franchise Awards for the 12th time and didn’t leave empty handed.
Driver recruitment franchise Driver Hire has been recognised once again for its fantastic business model at the 2018 BFA HSBC Franchise Awards. It took home the bronze award in the ‘Franchisor of the Year’ category.
This isn’t the first time Driver Hire has been recognised at the awards, with the recruitment franchisor making the finals 12 times in the last 13 years and winning 3 out of the last 4 years. At the glittering awards ceremony, which was held at Birmingham’s International Convention Centre and hosted by Olympic track cycling legend Sir Chris Hoy, Driver Hire were rewarded once again.
Driver Hire has been franchising for over 30 years and its network of 100 offices span the country, providing temporary and permanent staff to businesses that need commercial vehicle drivers. The business also provides other services including driver training and innovative driver risk management systems. Driver Hire has established itself as a franchise with the potential for success, with the average turnover at a Driver Hire Franchise a huge £1.1m annually, over three times the national franchise average.
This might be thanks in part to the company’s close relationships with all of its franchisees. Every potential business partner is also offered insight into what running a Driver Hire office entails before embarking on their franchise journey.
Graham Duckworth, Driver Hire’s Franchise Sales Director, expressed how thrilled the company was to be recognised at the awards once again. “Our franchisees make an average net profit of more £130,000 a year, all of which confirms the value and potential business rewards of a Driver Hire franchise. In many ways our figures speak for themselves, but it’s still nice to be recognised as one of the best franchisors out there. It’s a huge achievement and will certainly take the business to even greater heights.”
BFA Chief Executive, Pip Wilkins added: “Every year it’s great to see the excellent work our members demonstrated through their entries. The quality has never been higher with a wide range of businesses represented. It was an extremely hard job for the judges to separate them. Our congratulations go to all our winners.”
