CNA International Executive Search Fight For Workforce Age Equality

CNA International has launched CNA International Age Positive, one of the UK’s first executive search firms for the 50+. Part of the Pertemps Network Group, CAN International Age Positive is taking age bias in the workforce by the horns, offering a unique executive search model that focuses on, and gives hope to people over 50 years young. Andy Briggs from the Business Champion for Older Workers, hopes CNA International Age Positive will increase the number of 50+ workers in the UK by at least 12% by 2022.
CNA International Age Positive’s brainchild, Dunkan Keil, decided to launch the agency after obtaining a CNA Exeutive Search franchise and becoming aware of the increasing ageing demographics against the shortage of skills in many professions. Since its launch, CNA International Age Positive is already beginning to draw a lot of attention from potential employers and brands who recognise the advantages of an older and more mature workforce. The agency will open an online forum for candidates named The Age Positive Community which is designed to be a communications channel between employees and employers and it will be named ‘Port of Choice.’
Duncan observes: “There exists a skills deficit in the UK that appears to be widening all the time. We are also witnessing an ageing population across the UK and Europe. The over 50s are therefore an essential and highly valuable talent pool which is in need of practical support to find and retain work at executive level.
“It is early days for our agency but the interest we are already getting from UK businesses has been staggering. There is a real appetite from companies to employ older workers at executive level and this is supported by a political movement that is growing in support. Several guilds have also offered to support us.”
The director of CNA Executive Search, Nick Sprang, expresses his concerted support by adding: “This is a really exciting venture for CNA and allows us to further expand the services that we offer. This is new territory for executive search firms in the UK and we are delighted to be championing older workers at a time when employers are opening their eyes to the benefits of having an age diverse workforce.”
