ChipsAway has once again reached the required IMI accreditation standards, marking yet another year of success.
Van-based franchise ChipsAway’s training programme has once again been deemed excellent enough to meet the IMI’s accreditation standards, marking another year of success for the franchise.
The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) is a leading automotive learning and development body and has developed a strict accreditation criterion for training centres that wish to carry its name. It aims to give customers an easy way to pick out worthwhile vehicle technicians, like those who are part of ChipsAway’s vast network. Each new specialist that becomes part of ChipsAway’s network has to complete four weeks of technical training and will then become an IMI approved technician.
ChipsAway has amassed a team of experienced coaches that support all new recruits to the network. Simon Kings is the franchise’s Technical Director and has more than 19 years’ experience in bodyshop repairs. Senior Trainer Rob also has more than 19 years’ experience and, together, the pair oversee the extensive training process.
Simon Kings said:
“We are extremely proud of our IMI Accredited Training Course and Centre. We have been assessed as excellent on our last four annual inspections with top marks on training delivery and administration records kept.”
Managing Director Tim Harris expressed his delight at the franchise’s continued recognition for the quality of its training services.
“ChipsAway is committed to providing outstanding, professional and safe training for all new repair specialists. The IMI accreditation plays a key part in supporting our franchise network, with the reassurance they are dealing with a professional organisation. We look forward to continuing our work with IMI as an Accredited Training Centre.”
As part of the internationally successful Franchise Brands group, ChipsAway has amassed a successful network of car repair technicians across the UK.
