Scientist inspires next generation via Mother Nature Science

An experienced science graduate is sharing her love of the subject as a Mother Nature Science franchisee.

Franchisee Sharen Sia spent more than a decade working in the field of medical science technologies but came to realise that she wanted to work for herself and inspire the next generation to love science as much as she does. So, she joined education franchise Mother Nature Science and hasn’t looked back since.

Sharen runs the Hertfordshire location of Mother Nature Science. She explained what motivated her to join the franchise, which she was introduced to by a friend.

“I’ve always had a passion for science from a young age. Being a science graduate, I see the importance of inspiring the younger generation to have fun in science. There are many franchise models to be purchased out there and I’ve spent time studying their company profiles and business models, but none of them ticked all the boxes [in the way that] Mother Nature Science does.”

Sharen explained how the comprehensive training process helped her to get off to a stress-free start and thanked the team at Mother Nature Science for their help.

“The training was a very dedicated one-to-one training. The most valuable part is the 10 years of experience of the Mother Nature Science team, which is all unselfishly shared with their franchisees. I am lucky to say that I have made the right choice, as the support from the Franchise Team is second to none. They’re just a text or phone call away from resolving my enquiries and problems.”

Looking ahead to the future, Sharen said:

“This franchise is my career and my passion. Hopefully I can further expand my franchise business.”

Finally, she shared the top things to consider for those looking to become a franchisee themselves.

“Find a franchise that you have the passion/interest in. Research and ask questions during Discovery Day and set a positive mindset and be prepared to accept challenges.”
