Vicki and Jason Bell, long-time GreenThumb franchisees, are expanding their reach by acquiring three new territories in North East Wales and Cheshire. With more than 16 years in the GreenThumb network, the Bells have built a successful portfolio that now spans five territories, including Flintshire, Wrexham, and the Wirral. This recent acquisition reinforces their commitment to delivering top-quality, sustainable lawn care across their local communities.
Expanding in Familiar Territory
The three newly acquired locations were previously company-owned branches. For the Bells, this acquisition is more than a business decision—it’s a homecoming. The Flintshire area holds deep personal significance as it’s where they grew up, and purchasing these branches allows them to contribute to the local economy while fulfilling a long-held dream. With their new sites, they’ve gained 3,500 additional customers and four experienced lawn care operatives, making theirs one of the largest territories in the GreenThumb network. They now deliver over 50,000 lawn treatments each year, consistently providing quality service to their expanding customer base.

This acquisition also has sentimental value, as Jason’s first job was at GreenThumb, thanks to his uncle, which has further motivated the couple to make these territories a success. “With him no longer here, I’m even more determined to make our GreenThumb franchises thrive,” he added.
It has always been our goal to acquire the Flintshire so when we learnt that it was available along with the other two areas, we jumped at the chance – it was a no brainer!
The Bells’ journey with GreenThumb began in 2008 with their first franchise purchase in Oswestry. Despite neither of them having previous business ownership experience, their complementary skills and determination have proven invaluable. Jason’s background as a lawn operative and Vicki’s expertise in administration and customer service have allowed them to build a thriving business and successfully expand into new areas.
Future Plans and Ambitions
The Bells have ambitious plans for the future, aiming to expand their team and grow their customer base to over 6,000 clients across their five territories in the coming year. With a target of increasing turnover by 5% year-on-year, they are focused on scaling their business while maintaining GreenThumb’s high standards of service. “We’re determined to make a lasting impact in each community we serve, prioritising exceptional customer experience at every level,” Vicki Bell said.
