Franchise Brands has appointed Peter Molloy as Group CEO to lead its growth-focused strategy, strengthening Metro Plumb’s market position in the UK’s plumbing and drainage sector. With over two decades of experience, Molloy’s career began at Metro Rod, and he has been instrumental in developing the Water & Waste Services division, which includes Metro Plumb, Metro Rod, Willow Pumps, and Filta UK.
As Group CEO, Molloy will prioritise customer service, operational integration, and expansion, particularly for brands like Metro Plumb that offer essential services to commercial clients. The recent acquisitions of Filta and Pirtek have boosted annual system sales to approximately £400 million, setting the stage for Metro Plumb and other core brands to capture greater market share.
Executive Chairman Stephen Hemsley praised Molloy’s leadership skills and alignment with Franchise Brands’ vision, stating, Peter’s commitment to our values and his experience in scaling operations make him the ideal choice to lead our growth : "Peter has strong commercial acumen, and the Board is confident that he will successfully drive the implementation of our strategic priorities, which includes an increased focus on digitally-enabled integration, enabling the Group to realise its significant growth potential.
This appointment also positions Franchise Brands for a potential move to the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange.
