Hooters celebrates the emergency services

Hooters is recognising the proposed National First Responders day by giving back to the emergency services

Hooters is celebrating National First Responders’ Day by offering the dedicated emergency staff of America the chance to eat for free.

Today (28th October) is America’s unofficial day dedicated to celebrating First Responders across the country, from the brave firefighters who risk their lives to save people from blazes and the EMTs who attend medical emergencies to police officers who intervene in dangerous situations to keep the peace. First Responders Day was proposed in 2017 and if it’s passed by the U.S. House of Representatives then it will become a nationally recognised holiday.

However, Hooters has decided that it’s a day worth celebrating even unofficially. It will be honouring these hard working and brave people by offering them a complementary meal with the purchase of any drink, to say thanks for all the vital work they do for their communities.

The restaurant franchise, which is famed for its Hooters Girls and sports bar atmosphere, is offering the deal to any First Responders who turn up in uniform or show their official identification to the staff at their local Hooters. At participating locations across the USA, First Responders will be able to pick from a tempting selection of complementary meals such as Hooters’ famous 10-piece traditional, boneless or smoked wings.

There are plenty of other options including a spicy buffalo chicken salad, buffalo chicken sandwich or the juicy Hooters burger. All they’ll need to do is purchase any beverage, be that an ice-cold beer to celebrate a long week of work or refreshing soft drink to cool down the spicy buffalo sauce.

Founded in 1983, Hooters has expanded rapidly to become a truly international franchise. It has more than 425 restaurants spanning 39 states and 31 countries across the globe, each offering great food and all-American hospitality provided by its Hooters Girls.
