Costa Coffee partners up with Cambridge Wireless (CW) and The Innovation Dividend and appeals to the UK tech scene for inspiration on ways to enhance the customer experience in their newly opened Bradfield Centre in Cambridge. Costa Coffee will hold an expert panel on 25th September where companies are invited to pitch innovative ideas and the winner will be given the opportunity to showcase technology to Costa executives for potential investment.
The nation’s favourite coffee shop is exploring what the world’s most technologically enhanced Coffee Shop might look like in 2025 and how these shops of the future will lead the way to meaningful connections over great coffee.
Cambridge Wireless has been brought in by Costa to materialize this goal during a one-day ‘Coffee Shop of the Future Ideation’ supported by a thriving number of tech companies across the Cambridge-London technology portal.
“Naturally, Cambridge is the perfect fit for this Coffee Shop of the Future Ideation; it already has a strong base of renowned technology pioneers as well as being an entrepreneurial hub for startups with easy connections to London”. Says the Director of the Bradfield Centre, Jon Bradford.
Tech companies had until today, 20th September to submit their ideas and the shortlisted applicants will return to the Bradfield Centre on the 25th September to present their pitches to the expert panel. Costa’s head of Marketing in International markets, Mags Dixon, says: “At Costa we are committed to inviting customers to discover great coffee and we are keen to explore ways that technologies help enhance this experience. It seems that successful brands are always evolving and looking to understand what customers will need in the future.”
