Bella Italia serves up a spooky treat

Bella Italia offered a free scoop to its customers to celebrate the spookiest holiday of the year.
This week, many of us are getting our creep on to honour the most ghoulish time of the year. From sweets to toffee apples to devilish drinks, lots of us celebrate the holiday through the things that we eat. And Bella Italia got into the spirit of Halloween by offering a free serving of spooky black gelato to all of its customers.
The complimentary black ‘ghoul-ato’ was refreshing coconut flavour and was available to everyone, whether they were dining or just passing by. All customers needed to do was pop in to receive their two free scoops of the seasonal treat.
However, there was just one small catch – those looking to pick up a complimentary treat needed to be dressed up in the spirit of the season to qualify for their helping of ‘ghoul-ato’. The restaurant franchise asked that people come dressed as witch, wizard or warlock, so customers took to the outlets with broomsticks, hats and fake noses to get in on the action.
Those who weren’t in the mood for the spooky treat could still dine on their favourite Bella Italia dishes, including the brand new Conchiglione Basilicata dish, which is packed with spicy Italian sausage and topped with rich, melting mozzarella. Or, they could indulge in one of the restaurant’s delicious sweet treats, which include classic Italian Tiramisu, rich and tangy Morello Cherry Cheesecake and the Dolcetti Sharing Desserts platter.
Bella Italia has more than 104 restaurants across the UK and is on the lookout for new franchisees to help it expand to new towns and cities. If you’re interested in helping to bring one of the country’s favourite Italian dining brands to your local area, find out more here.
