Wok & Go brings Chinese landmark to Liverpool

Wok & Go has helped food delivery giant Deliveroo bring the famous Great Wall of China to the streets of Liverpool.
It might not quite be the next ‘wonder of the world’, but the replica Great Wall of China that popped up in front of Liverpool’s Chinese Arch was still a sight to behold.
The interactive display, which was made entirely of Chinese takeaway boxes, offered passers-by the chance to win some incredible prizes. It was an impressive seven metres long and was based on the Jinshanling section, which is the most popular hiking route along the original Great Wall.
Noodle bar franchise Wok & Go was on hand to provide tasty food for those taking part in the fun. It served up delicious noodles to passers-by as a celebration of the beloved cuisine and joined in on the celebration of Liverpool’s rich Chinese heritage.
Jeff Cook, who spoke on behalf of Wok & Go, said:
“As a North West based company, it’s amazing to see something of this scale come to Liverpool. The city has a rich Chinese heritage and this is a pure celebration of the culture… and of course the food. The event will bring the people of Liverpool together and is amazing for families.”
Wok & Go was founded in Chester in 2008 and since then it has been serving tasty, quick and fresh noodle boxes to customers all across the UK. Its hearty dishes, which are all packed with an authentic taste of the Far East, soon became popular and the franchise expanded across the North and South East of the country. Each of its tempting menu choices can be customised exactly to your liking, from the noodles or rice right down to the level of spice you can handle in your delicious box.
