Global tutoring company Tutor Doctor gets ready for increased demand as families adapt to the coronavirus outbreak.

Countries across the globe are doing their best to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The UK government announced that from 20th March, schools, colleges and nurseries would close. The Prime Minister Boris Johnson explained that schools other than those looking after the children of key workers and vulnerable children will no longer be up and running.

Tutor Doctor is one of the leading providers of one-to-one supplementary education to students through in-home tutoring to families. It operates in 15 countries with a franchise network that exceeds 640!

Frank Milner, President of Tutor Doctor, commented on how the outbreak of coronavirus has affected business:

"We've already begun to see our online tutors and platform being used by students and families due to travel quarantines.

"Fortunately, our online platform is simple for tutors and students of any age to use."

Tutor Doctor has experienced a staggering 120 percent increase in demand for online tutoring since the announcement of the outbreak.

Milner continued:

"This is just the beginning and we can handle much higher demand spikes than this.

"But we're not taking anything for granted. We are already in communication with our 94,000 tutors to ensure they're well-prepared for what's to come."

With the schools closing, children’s academic progress and social interaction is inevitably going to be disrupted and, therefore, online tutoring services like Tutor Doctor offers become more valuable than ever.

However, families are setting their sights on more than just an online resource, but rather an academic experience tailored to their individual child’s needs. A very useful feature of Tutor Doctor’s online programme is how students can record their session and re-watch it at a later stage.
