A Tutor Doctor franchisee from Reading has been named Global Tutor of the Year.
Tutoring franchise, Tutor Doctor, has been recognising the brightest and best in its network of dedicated franchisees with its Global Tutor of the Year Accolade. And despite only being part of the Tutor Doctor network for two years, this year’s winner Chris Hinsley stood out as the shining star of the franchise.
Hinsley’s commitment to helping the young people of Reading is clear to see. He spends more than 22 hours per week guiding children through the franchise’s education programme. In addition, he dedicates two days a week to helping young offenders work on their communication skills and improve their career prospects after their release.
More than 600 tutors were nominated across the globe and 40,000 votes were cast by Tutor Doctor’s clients and staff, but Hinsley’s unwavering dedication saw him come out on top. He will receive an all-expenses paid trip worth £1,500 to celebrate his achievement. Commenting on his win, Hinsley expressed how thrilled he was to receive the title. “To be recognised by my bosses, Mark and Joanna, was wonderful. Then I won the UK award and now, being awarded at an international level, by industry experts, is both humbling and very much appreciated. I am proud to have developed skills for getting young people that have no interest in education to believe in its value and, most importantly, themselves."
CEO of Tutor Doctor, Frank Milner, explained why Hinsley was a great example of what the franchise can achieve in the right hands. “Although all of the finalists are fantastic at what they do, Chris is a worthy winner. He demonstrates true passion and commitment to his tutoring, whilst changing the lives of families too. Chris epitomises everything the company stands for; helping students to reach their full potential and achieve greatness with the five-star service that he provides.”
