Travelodge to build new hotel in Cornwall
James Muddimer, writer
The budget hotel chain, Travelodge, has received planning permission to develop a 70-bed hotel in Bude.
Travelodge has over 560 hotels in the UK that cover the country from top to bottom. The latest will join the hotel franchise’s family of lodges in the South West, becoming Cornwall’s seventh Travelodge branch.
The application for the hotel mentions plans for a bar, café and 30 parking spaces to accompany the 70 low-priced rooms. It will replace a derelict site on Lansdown Road that used to be occupied by a bus and coach depot.
Travelodge has partnered up with Buckinghamshire-based HFP Architects to draw up a blueprint for a four-storey development in the coastal town. Given Bude’s roaring tourist trade - with many coming to visit from the country’s major cities - Travelodge looks set to make substantial profits from the venture.
Travelodge is a leading hotel chain based in the UK that offers comfortable rooms at economy prices. The hotel franchise is spread over 500 different branches across the UK, plus another 50 that are distributed worldwide. Whether you’re looking for an affordable place to stay with family and friends, or just a pillow to rest on after a long day of travelling, Travelodge offers a service that you can trust.
But Travelodge does more than just make sure that its customers get a good night’s sleep. The hotel chain has also made strides in recent years to reduce its environmental impact by reducing waste and conserving energy. That means that its customers can enjoy the peace of mind that comes from knowing that they are handing over their money to a sustainable brand.
Travelodge is looking for franchise partners here on Point Franchise. If you are a driven entrepreneur who’s willing to live the Travelodge lifestyle, this might be the franchise opportunity for you.
