Travelodge begins Christmas recruitment drive

Travelodge is seeking lots of new staff to help it get through the incredibly busy festive period.
As the colder weather approaches, so does the much-loved festive period. During this time, many people will travel across the country seeing family and friends and enjoying winter activities. So, to keep up with the crazily-busy Christmas period, Travelodge is recruiting more than 1,000 new staff. Many of the positions will be seasonal, which will appeal to those looking to make a bit of extra cash to treat their loved ones over the festive period. Those seeking a career in hospitality may also find the perfect role as the budget hotel franchise is seeking permanent staff for both full- and part-time contracts, too.
Travelodge is looking for all kinds of new staff, from hotel managers to housekeepers, receptionists and bar café team members, so applicants from all backgrounds and skillsets are encouraged to apply. Many of the positions will be based in one of Travelodge’s new openings, which include locations such as Solihull, Chester, Lincoln and Bury St Edmonds.
It’s not just its 540 UK locations that need new staff, as the franchise is looking to fill 15 positions at its head office in Thame, Oxfordshire. Skilled professionals in marketing, IT, HR and customer services are needed to boost the franchise’s central hub and ensure it can continue to grow its presence in the UK. Travelodge is also seeking five new management engineers to join its nationwide maintenance team to keep all its locations at their very best.
