The Wheel Specialist noticed a surge in enquiries at its first-ever virtual conference.
The car franchise, which provides wheel repair and refurbishment services, has been able to stay open through most of the pandemic. In fact, the business as a whole has restored almost 100,000 wheels over the past year.
Jack Murphy, The Wheel Specialist’s Managing Director, said:
"The amount of quote requests we've got coming in has rocketed over the last year; we didn't expect that at all. When our marketing team brought to my attention that our leads had gone up by 20 percent on the previous year, even with Covid going on, I almost couldn't believe it."
Although the business did stop trading for a few weeks last spring, it bought and introduced a new contactless system across the UK to support continued growth throughout the year.
Phil Jarvis from Chester is one of The Wheel Specialist’s customers. He commented,
"I was really impressed with the system used to overcome the Covid restrictions, being kept up to date via my mobile and email at all times with regular updates. I have recommended The Wheel Specialist company to many of my friends, who have complimented me on the new look to my wheels."
The team at The Wheel Specialist can’t be sure what’s prompted the surge in demand they’ve experienced, but it doesn’t look like enquiries will decline in number any time soon. Usually, interest peaks during spring and summer, when motorists spend more time taking care of their cars. And with most people taking ‘staycations’ this year, rather than travelling abroad, demand for wheel restoration services should rise even further.
