The Christmas Decorators Cheshire adapts to changing demand

The Christmas Decorators’ Cheshire branch has adapted its operations for the 2020 festive season, in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The interior decorating franchise unit has noticed a 50 percent increase in demand for its services this year. While work among commercial clients is quieter this year, the business has made up its profits by adapting to cater to a higher proportion of residential customers. All jobs are completed by two people, where possible, and every employee wears full PPE.

Adele Gregson, owner of The Christmas Decorators Cheshire, has spoken about the changes she’s noticed this year.

“We’ve been asked for spectacular ice-skating rinks on the lawn, social-distancing-friendly heated marquees, carousels, huge snow globes – the requests this year so far are incredible, and we love a challenge. It’s very encouraging that both businesses and households have spare budget to make this Christmas extra special.

Some of Adele’s most notable clients include the Real Housewives of Cheshire stars, Nicole Sealey and Hanna Kinsella, and the Celebs Go Dating star Charlotte Dawson.

Throughout the summer, the team at the Cheshire franchise branch investigated possible changes they could make to the business in order to better cater to customers during Christmas 2020. Adele explained,

“We wanted to take on the Covid crisis as a slightly different business. We felt strongly that we wanted to open up our services to attract even more residential clients and changed our products and pricing policies accordingly.”

Adele also increased the size of her decorating team by 50 percent to cope with rising demand. According to the franchisee, people who wouldn’t normally splash out on lavish decorations are getting in touch with the business.

“It’s been such a terrible year and it’s made us appreciate family and being together because we’ve not always been allowed to do it, so people are just embracing it. From what I can see, the feeling this year is that there’s nothing we can do about what’s going on in the world, but whatever happens, we’re doing Christmas and we’re going to do it amazingly.”
