Specialist workplace and IT cleaning solutions company Techclean is experiencing unprecedented demand for its services due to the global spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). The global pandemic has sparked an increase in bookings for its PC desktop and cleaning services and deep cleaning and Dry Misting treatments.
Due to the incredibly high demand, Techclean has had to implement measures to fast-track technician training and recruitment.
Techclean has also complied its top 10 tips to keep offices hygienic during the coronavirus outbreak.
Techclean’s Managing Director, Nigel Toplis, said: **“Our priority is always to help staff and businesses keep their workplaces as healthy as possible. For those companies that are not able to access Techclean’s specialist cleaning services as quickly as they might like during this incredibly busy period, we have put together our top 10 tips that can help minimise the spread of all germs, not just coronavirus, in the workplace.”**
- Go paperless. Don’t share newspapers and magazines, and if a document needs to be printed, make sure everyone has their own copy.
- Don’t share. Avoid sharing telephone handsets and touching your face after touching a shared keyboard or mouse.
- Be wise and wipe! Wipe your mouse, keyboard and handset at the start and end of the day.
- Get your own. Make sure you have your own supply of office essentials like pens.
- Be prepared. Keep a box of tissues and dispose of any that you use straight away. Also use hand sanitiser regularly and wash your hands after you cough or sneeze.
- Bin it. Increase the amount of waste disposals and empty them often.
- Tea for one. Stick to making your own hot drink using the same mug.
- Kitchen cleanliness. Use anti-bacterial cleaning products to disinfect worksurfaces, kettles, toasters and microwaves regularly.
- Desk detergent. Make sure cleaning staff are using anti-bacterial detergents and giving all areas a thorough cleanse.
- If in doubt, stay at home. The government has now advised anyone with a high temperature or a new, continuous cough to stay at home and self-isolate, and for everyone (even those without symptoms) to practise social distancing.
