TaxAssist Accountants welcomes new faces

TaxAssist Accountants will be welcoming a husband and wife team of experienced accountants to take the helm of one of its established franchises.
TaxAssist Accountants has welcomed yet another team to its network of skilled UK franchisees. Bukky Shonola and her husband Dapo will be at the helm of the Letchworth TaxAssist Accountants branch, which already has a strong customer base of more than 250 clients.
Bukky purchased the franchise after the previous franchisees decided to retire. By purchasing a franchise resale, rather than establishing her own location, Bukky will inherit many of the branch’s existing customers as well as attracting new clients. She is a qualified AAT technician, with more than eight years of experience in the sector, while her husband Dapo is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA), with over two decades of experience as an accountant.
Bukky explained what attracted her to the franchise and why she took the plunge to purchase the franchise resale.
“Having worked for other people throughout our working lives, we thought it was time to pursue our dream of owning a business. Both being accountants, we thought buying a TaxAssist would be a good fit and the discovery day convinced us that this is the right opportunity for us. We are very excited for the future and for the opportunity to work as a family to grow the practice into something much bigger, including having multiple shops.”
She added that the support herself and her husband have received from the accountancy franchise has made their journey so much easier.
“The TaxAssist Operational Support Centre Team has been excellent and we really couldn’t have done this without them. At every stage of the process, they have been there for us.”
