TaxAssist Accountants reports on government grants

TaxAssist Accountants has provided detailed information on the government’s latest round of financial support for businesses.
As the UK’s third lockdown begins, TaxAssist Accountants is helping to make sure business owners have the information they need to benefit from the latest support packages. The bookkeeping and accounting franchise’s recent guide explains the government has released a set of extra grants, on top of its original financial package.
The new funding is worth a total of £4.6 billion and should help businesses survive the latest coronavirus restrictions. TaxAssist Accountants says companies in retail, hospitality and leisure will be able to access a one-off cash injection of up to £9,000, depending on their property’s rateable value.
Across the UK, the government hopes it will be able to support over 600,000 businesses with its latest funding scheme.
During the distribution of these one-off grants, businesses may also be able to access the government’s existing financial support. And, as the accounting franchise explains, companies in the worst-affected sectors can also benefit from business rates relief. Plus, the government has provided £1.1 billion in discretionary funding for Local Authorities, and introduced the furlough scheme, which will run until April.
TaxAssist Accountants also highlighted the other measures in place across the UK, from business lending initiatives to the Self-Employment Income Support Scheme.
The franchise is dedicated to supporting business owners who are finding it difficult to navigate the challenges raised by the coronavirus pandemic and national lockdowns. Whether you’re self-employed or run a business, and would like to speak to a specialist accountant, you should get in touch with the franchise’s team of experts.
