New franchise fees range from £9,975 +VAT for those joining the network with an existing practice to £19,950 + VAT for new start franchises looking to open and establish their own accounting firm.
A more streamlined initial training course has been designed for new TaxAssist Accountants, enabling new franchise packages and lower franchise fees.
James Mattam, Group Business Development Director, said, “We’ve listened to feedback from those looking at our franchise offering and those joining our network and we’ve made a number of refinements to our training course and the whole package to make it easier for accountants and suitably experienced finance professionals to join our network.
“The initial training course duration has changed from seven to four weeks, with an increase in our on the ground support and mentoring. This means a new TaxAssist Accountant joining the network with their own clients is away from their office for less time and is also a faster way of getting started. The new course will still cover the key components needed to run a modern, efficient accountancy practice and allows for more virtual training to be undertaken at home.
“We’re not training someone to be an accountant during this training course, we’re showing them the ‘TaxAssist way’ of delivering a great service, coupled with using technology to operate efficiently to support both growth and profitability. Accountants who already run their own accounting practice but are looking to scale cannot afford to be out of their business for seven weeks, so we’ve adapted the training to suit their needs.
“We’ve also invested in more Franchisee Development Managers to be out in the field, visiting our network and supporting at a local level. This will help us to understand individual support requirements and personalise our support further.”
The fee to join TaxAssist Accountants as a new start franchisee is now £19,950 + VAT. This includes first class technical and marketing support, 25 free leads and discounted software packages from the TaxAssist Support Centre. Added to this is a fresh redesign of the TaxAssist brand and access to multiple income streams for the practice from providing TaxAssist branded services to clients.
“Our franchise package will appeal to those looking to build their own accountancy practice as well as those looking to scale up and fast track the growth of an existing practice. We hope that by making the course as streamlined and practical as possible, alongside our new entry fee, more people can benefit from all that the TaxAssist brand has to offer.”
