Within hours of Rishi Sunak delivering his second Budget of the year, the franchise had provided its network with all the relevant details and changes relevant to their businesses.

TaxAssist Accountants is always quick off the draw when it comes to informing its franchisees, and when the Autumn Budget was revealed, this was no different. On the very same day, the bookkeeping and accounting franchise provided everyone “with personalised versions of the Budget 2021 material to share and communicate with clients, prospects and business referral contacts”. TaxAssist also took other helpful measures to ensure that everyone was up to speed.

For example, “During the day [of the Budget], the Support Centre team of tax experts and marketing professionals posted live updates to the @TaxAssistUK Twitter account and on the national Facebook page.” Plus, “A free ‘Budget Over Breakfast Webinar’ was hosted live at 8am on the day after the Budget, which was well attended by clients. This provided an overview of the key announcements from the Budget.” The recording is still available to view. Finally, all of the following pieces of content were added to the TaxAssist website and became available for franchisees to share on their socials:

  • “Autumn Budget 2021 Summary and Highlights”
  • “Recovery Loan Scheme extended to June 2022”
  • “Reforming UK Research & Development tax reliefs”
  • “Key reforms to business rates announced in the Autumn Budget”

In the words of James Mattam, TaxAssist’s Group Business Development Director, “As we do every year, the Support Centre team worked hard to ensure we delivered bespoke Budget commentary in a timely and efficient manner, emailing thousands of clients on the day of the Budget through our centralised mailing system. This speed of response is hugely beneficial to the accountants in our network because it means they can follow up with their clients on how they can advise them further.” Find out more about investing with this on-the-ball franchise via TaxAssist Accountants’ profile page, which is linked above.
