The bookkeeping and accounting franchise was thrilled to announce an 8% growth in revenue between 2020 and 2021, signifying the success of TaxAssist’s post-pandemic recovery.
In the words of the accounting franchise, which ranked 22 in the Accountancy Age and has a combined fee income of £46.6 million in 2020, “The TaxAssist Accountants network grew sales by an impressive 8% last year [reaching a combined fee income of £50.7 million in 2021], largely driven by increased brand awareness on the back of successful campaigns during the height of the pandemic and its focus on delivering a broad range of advisory services. There are now 248 TaxAssist franchised territories across the UK, operating from 402 shops and offices looking after the needs of 77,000 clients.”
TaxAssist’s Managing Director Daren Moore also spoke on the franchise’s continued growth and success, saying, “The TaxAssist network has performed solidly through the pandemic with a growth rate that has, in fact, outpaced many larger firms. I would like to congratulate our franchisees and the Support Centre staff, who have all worked tirelessly throughout the last two years to aid and support clients with help and advice regarding the sheer volume of government announcements. We know from client surveys just how much this was appreciated.”
Daren continued, “As we enter the recovery period, which will undoubtedly go hand in hand with tax changes and higher tax bills, we have the expertise to engage and communicate with clients to ensure their compliance needs are met, as well as helping them to plan for the future, make key decisions and to understand how their business is performing. The Support Centre’s Tax Consulting and Payroll teams are now being used by a large percentage of our franchisees, enabling them to offer a much broader range of services to clients.”
Plus, TaxAssist plans to launch a new financial services business in the coming months, opening up opportunities in tax planning, individual wealth management, succession planning, inheritance planning and more. As Daren put it, “These are exciting times to be a part of the TaxAssist Accountants network.” If you’d like to find out more about joining that network as a franchisee, visit TaxAssist’s profile page, linked above.
