Starting a Home Care Franchise: Mo Khaliq’s Journey (PerCurra Leeds)

Having witnessed firsthand the impact of care services on his own family, Mohammed Khalid was determined to ensure that others received the highest standards of support.

Just a few weeks ago, Mo completed his two-day induction at PerCurra’s headquarters. Since then, it’s been non-stop progress—especially as he’s been balancing the setup of his new business alongside his current employment. The pace has been fast, but he’s found the team at PerCurra to be consistently supportive and accessible whenever he needs guidance.

Already, Mo has secured an office lease and hired an experienced Registered Care Manager, who is set to start in the coming weeks. Franchise support has been hands-on from the beginning, with PerCurra’s founder, Gill, even attending the care manager’s interview and providing in-person training. Next on the agenda is software training for both Mo and his new care manager, ensuring they’re fully equipped for the operational side of the business.

With preparations nearly complete for their Care Quality Commission (CQC) submission, Mo’s franchise is quickly taking shape. It’s an exciting time, and his journey so far is a great example of how the right support, combined with personal dedication, can set a new home care franchise up for success.
