Sportscool ran a series of extracurricular sports sessions to children across the North West of England during the October half term, thanks to funding from KAYS Traffic Management.

The family-run business, which specialises in road markings, specialist surfaces and event management, helped local children access fun activities while school was out. At a time when many families faced days indoors at a time, the company decided to fund Sportscool to run a variety of sports classes.

Over 100 children in Blackburn, Bolton and the surrounding areas were able to take part in the coaching sessions and even access free meals through the scheme. Sportscool was delighted to have the opportunity to support local families and provide fun activities during the half-term break. Lee Lysons, a director at the sports franchise, said:

"This funding from KAYS shows their investment in the communities that they operate in. The scheme will help children who need this access to activity, to sport and fun throughout the half-term which is huge, while also ensuring they receive a balanced meal too."

KAYS Traffic Management’s partnership with Sportscool isn’t the only step it’s taken to support the community during the Covid-19 pandemic. The independent business has been busy at work across the North of England. It’s carried out vital services in traffic management and helped install social distancing signage, build temporary cycle lanes and display ‘thank you’ messages to the NHS.

If you’d like to get involved with Sportscool, you might be interested in starting a franchise unit under its branding. You can add to its network of sports education providers working in more than 300 primary schools across the UK when you invest in the business. As a franchisee, you would deliver fun extracurricular activities to help children build their skills and self-esteem in a safe environment.
