With schools, parks and leisure centres having faced closures over the last few months, children’s access to fitness activities has taken a dip. To help keep kids active, sports coaching franchise SportsCool has announced a new partnership with KAYS Traffic Management, which will deliver free coaching sessions and clubs at schools across the UK.
The scheme will initially provide free-of-charge coaching to schools in Blackburn, Bolton and Manchester, before potentially expanding out to other specially selected areas. SportsCool will provide access to a wide variety of different sporting activities, while all costs of the courses will be covered by KAYS as part of their community investment.
Speaking on the partnership, Director of SportsCool Lee Lysons says: “This funding from KAYS shows their investment in the communities that they operate in. The scheme will help children who need this access to activity, to sport and to fun throughout the half-term which is huge.”
“Not only that, but it also helps support us as a business and many staff members during what is a very difficult time for the country economically,” he adds.
Established in 1985, KAYS Traffic Management is one of the UK’s leading service providers of road markings, specialist surfaces and traffic management solutions. According to the SportsCool website, KAYS has been keen throughout the pandemic to ensure circumstances don’t impact on children’s opportunities to participate in sport and keep healthy activity levels.
SportsCool believes playing sports has overwhelming benefits for children, not just their physical fitness. They believe it promotes self-esteem, confidence, motivation, physical aptitude and all-round mental and physical health – critical benefits in 2020. Franchisees work closely with their learners to help them blossom into confident, healthy and aspiring individuals.
If you’d like to make a difference through sport, starting a franchise with SportsCool could be the opportunity for you. Have a look at the SportsCool profile page here on Point Franchise. It gives you all the information you need to get involved.
