SportsCool has incorporated yoga into its offering to help children stay fit and healthy during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The sports franchise decided to introduce the new class to support young people at a particularly difficult time. During the first lockdown earlier this year, Andy, Lee and Matt from SportsCool’s head office team realised children’s mental health was at risk. Just as many adults were struggling to stay optimistic, children were likely to feel the same way, cut off from friends and forced to spend more time indoors.

In response to the lockdown, the three SportsCool representatives qualified in yoga and mindfulness through MiniMeYoga, which delivers mental health and wellbeing programmes for parents and educators. In fact, they became the first male MiniMeYoga ambassadors in the UK.

Now, SportsCool is able to train its coaches to teach yoga and deliver informative and fun classes across the UK. Staff have also learnt how to integrate nuggets of the wellbeing course into their daily classroom sessions to benefit children who might be feeling overwhelmed.

Over the years, SportsCool has developed a diverse range of classes to help children keep fit and healthy, no matter their passion. There’s something for everyone in the franchise’s portfolio, from football, dodgeball, hockey and tennis, to gymnastics, archery, athletics and tri-golf. SportsCool even runs a variety of dance classes, including zumba, cheerleading and street dance.

SportsCool is on the lookout for more investors to set up new franchise locations across the UK. If you’re a people person with a strong desire to succeed, the business wants to hear from you. Franchisees work under the brand’s ethos: educate, motivate, participate, and have the potential to generate a six-figure salary within three years.
