Speedy Freight has launched its newest base in St Austell to serve the surrounding Devon and Cornwall area.
Urgent freight transport company Speedy Freight has launched its newest franchised base in the town of St Austell, so the people of South Devon and Cornwall will soon be able to use its 24/7 courier and freight transport service. It’s on the lookout now for skilled drivers who can help it offer its specialist same-day delivery service to people across the South West.
Kevin Girdler, business development manager for Speedy Freight’s Cornwall and Plymouth operations, explained why it’s so important for the courier and delivery franchise to have a good base across all regions of the country.
“South Devon and Cornwall are manufacturing hot spots and Speedy Freight’s services come into their own when unexpected issues arise. From delivering essential building materials and just-in-time parts to keep production lines running, to getting sensitive paperwork to offices throughout the UK.”
The franchise has more than 2,500 vans across the country and has grown into the UK’s leading delivery and same-day courier service over the years. Its huge range of transport vehicles, ranging from speedy scooters to 44-ton trucks for moving large amounts of goods without any hold-up, means that it can transport any kind of goods as quickly as possible.
Speedy Freight has grown quickly since it was founded in 2006, when it was operating from co-founder Ian Southworth’s room. Now, it boasts a network of more than 30 franchisees and is looking to continue expanding its presence across the country to help more businesses with their urgent and same-day delivery needs.
New franchisees can become part of this growing network for just £38,500 and don’t need any prior experience in the courier or delivery industry.
