Snappy Tomato Pizza is taking part in Cincinnati Magazine’s 7th annual fundraising event.
‘Slice Night’, which raises money for the University of Cincinnati Cancer Centre, has been renamed ‘Slice Week’ this year, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The event will span five days, running from Sunday 20th September until Thursday 24th September.
As part of the fundraising effort, customers can buy a Slice Week voucher at cincinnatimagazine.com/slice for $15. They can then use it to get a free medium cheese or pepperoni pizza from Snappy Tomato Pizza (usually priced between $10 and $12), plus a one-year subscription to Cincinnati Magazine (normally $14.95).
Cincinnati Magazine will send customers a receipt and voucher via email. These coupons can then be redeemed for eat-in or takeaway orders at any of the 47 Snappy Pizza branches in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee.
Every single cent generated from voucher purchases goes to Cincinnati University’s Cancer Centre, and Snappy Tomato Pizza has pledged to double the funds at the end of Slice Week. Andy Ritter, the pizza franchise’s Director of Marketing, explained:
Once all 100 available Snappy Tomato Pizza Slice Week Pizza Vouchers are claimed, we will match the $1,500 raised with a corporate donation of another $1,500. Together our team believes it is our duty to support the UC Cancer Center and our community as a whole.
What’s more, Snappy Pizza will also be giving one fan another pizza free of charge. If you fancy your chances, all you have to do is post a photo of you enjoying your pizza on social media, using the hashtags #Snappy Tomato and #cincinnatisliceweek.
Over the past six years, Cincinnati Magazine’s fundraising event has raised a total of $176,000 (£137,000) for the Cancer Centre. We wish all involved the best of luck for this year’s Slice Week event.
