Signs Express completes prestigious Liverpool project

Signs Express put the finishing touches to Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine’s new £25m building.

An important after-midnight project for Signs Express has just been completed. The Preston-based branch, owned by father and son team Stephen and Ben Hall, was given the job of putting the finishing touches to the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine's £25m Life Sciences Accelerator building.

The team’s work included installing seven door signs, five sets of built-up letters and eight direction signs. It needed to take place overnight as much of the work was happening above the main entrance and the team had to bring in specialist equipment to complete the work.

Despite proving to be a challenging job, it was a huge honour for the growing company to work on such a prestigious project at the world-leading facility in the research and teaching of tropical medicine, as explained by Matt Rutlidge, Business Development and Sales Manager of Signs Express. "Working on such distinctive signage on such a high-profile building in Liverpool and seeing the successful implementation from artwork to installation has been very rewarding."

Signs Express’ hard work certainly didn’t go unnoticed by the customer either. Richard Burslem, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine’s Facilities Supervisor, noted how impressed they were with the service from Signs Express, calling it “superb”. He added “[Signs Direct] provided both guidance and a high level of expertise that was a great asset from the artwork stage through to installation. This project has been a great success and users of the building are very impressed with the finished work."
