The Yeovil branch of EweMove franchise now manages over 200 properties following its second acquisition.
The estate agency franchise is in control of over 200 managed properties since acquiring the lettings book of a local independent rival.
The branch has obtained 95 properties from Orchards Estates, an estate agents in Stoke-sub-Hamdon, Somerset.
This is the second time in the last four years that the EweMove Yeovil franchisees, Paul Gammage and Anita Light, have acquired a large amount of managed properties. The pair have managed EweMove Yeovil since 2015 and the second acquisition follows their purchase of MPP Lettings and Management in February 2018.
Paul Gammage said: “We’re delighted to have completed this second acquisition, as our business continues to go from strength to strength. The support from EweMove’s headquarters, the Sheep Pen, has been great.
“The team imported the Orchards portfolio into the EweReka management system and it was all turned around really quickly, meaning we could manage the properties and make rental payments within a week of completion. It also enabled us to keep our landlords and tenants up to date with the situation.”
Nick Neill, the National Managing Director of EweMove explained: “Our model is built around providing great support to franchisees like Paul and Anita and I’m delighted they have been able to get this second acquisition over the line.
“They are incredibly hard-working and two acquisitions in such a short space of time is testament to their hard work and the ambition they both have to grow their business. It also demonstrates that business sellers can rely upon our franchisees to move forward and complete on deals.”
On top of the Yeovil branch’s second acquisition, it has been an eventful start to the year all round for the estate agency franchise. In the first two weeks of 2019, EweMove has revealed five new franchisees, including Julia Stewart, who has converted her independent lettings agency in Reading to a EweMove franchise.
Neill praised the franchisees: “Here are five people who have the gumption to make a big business decision at a time when lots of others are fretting about Brexit and an uncertain property market.”
The five new franchisees join a network of over 120 EweMove franchisees in the UK.
