One of Satchel Learning’s newest franchisees has spoken about how he is preparing to launch his business.
Najeeb Shah has been getting ready to start his new education franchise business. He revealed why he chose to join Satchel Learning:
“I was looking to work in an education-based franchise. Outside of lockdown, I would normally work around two days a week in my local school and, with the experience I have gained, I knew that starting up a business in tuition would be ideal for me.”
Najeeb said he was drawn to the franchise as a result of its founder’s involvement with new investors:
“I chose Satchel Learning as it gave me an opportunity to deal and communicate openly with Richard, the founder of the company, rather than a franchise manager.”
He added,
“Satchel has a wide range of quality materials and branding that appeals to the customer. I believe that this business, if run well, can compete well with competitors in the tuition market both large and small.”
Although Najeeb had a lot of learning to do when he joined the franchise, the training scheme has been flexible, allowing him to work at his own pace. The investor explained how his induction programme has progressed during the pandemic:
“Meetings are normally conducted on Zoom and I have been guided in preparing a business plan, finding a suitable venue and how the booklets are structured and should be set. I hope to complete training in person and visit an actual Satchel class in action at some point.”
Now, Najeeb is looking forward to the time when he’s able to begin tutoring his students. He said,
“I hope to launch my new business at the start of the new academic year (mainly due to coronavirus). I am very much eager to start and help children in my local area to improve their maths and English skills."
