Sandler Training tees off for charity

Sandler Training has been lending its support to a charity golf day in Gloucestershire.
Sandler Training was one of the sponsors of The Charity Golf Day at Minchinhampton Golf Club, which aimed to raise money for a local charity.
The Nelson Trust, which is based in nearby Stroud, supports people who are recovering from drug and alcohol addiction in its abstinence-based treatment centre. It’s been supporting addicts for more than 30 years thanks to the generosity of the public and charity events like the golf day.
Business coaching franchise Sandler Training was one of the big-hearted sponsors of the event, which saw teams go head-to-head for a chance to lift the Richard Lister Memorial Cup. The late Mr Lister chaired the Nelson Trust for 11 years and his son Rob has continued his legacy by supporting the trust to this day.
The event was a huge success, with fun had by all and lots of money raised so that The Nelson Trust can continue its work. Melissa Atherton, events co-ordinator for the charity, expressed her delight at the day’s fundraising efforts. She said:
"The event was a huge success, raising over £10,000 towards our services. The Golf Day is an occasion to remember the work of Richard Lister and how instrumental he was to so many of our fundraising activities. We must extend our thanks to the team at Minchinhampton Golf Club who looked after us on the day and our sponsors Cotswold BMW, Ardent and Sandler Training."
Atherton added that the money raised would allow The Nelson Trust to give a stable future to even more families struggling with addiction.
Since it was founded in 1967 by David Sandler, Sandler Training has grown to have more than 250 offices in over 27 countries across the globe. It’s an industry leader in sales, enterprise and leadership training, allowing companies to get the most out of their staff.
