Sandler Training has been advising service businesses in the UK how they can beat the current economic uncertainty and continue to grow.

Many sectors in the UK are currently facing an uncertain future as Brexit negotiations continue, including the massive services sector, with its huge industries like tourism. However, training franchise Sandler Training has been sharing some sage advice that businesses affected by economic uncertainty should heed.

Speaking to The Telegraph, CEO of Sandler Training UK Shaun Thomson shared how he believes developing a ‘pro-sales’ culture will help businesses thrive and even grow when the odds are stacked against them. A study carried out by Sandler Training last year revealed that a shocking 31 percent of UK managers believe that so-called ‘sales shame’ is negatively affecting their growth, due to the negative connotations surround sales staff limiting recruitment. Thomson shared how he feels businesses can beat this.

“Sales is stereotypically seen as the department where no one wants to work – staff are junior and transient, not to mention that industry and academics rarely view it as a ‘real’ profession. [However], embracing an ‘everybody sells’ ethos is good for staff, business and customers. If you are dealing with a business that has taken the time to examine all parts of the customer journey and enhanced it accordingly, then you will have a better experience. And, crucially, the company will experience structured growth – no matter what the economic backdrop.”

Sandler Training was founded more than 50 years ago and has cultivated enviable partnerships with businesses including LinkedIn, Evernote and academic institution Harvard Business School over the years. It now has a large network of more than 250 franchisees operating in 27 countries across the globe. It’s seeking ambitious entrepreneurs to help it expand to new locations in the UK and across the world.
