Rocket’s blasts off to Florida

Eddie Rocket’s makes one family’s American dream come true with the holiday of a lifetime.
The restaurant franchise which is known for its multi-award-winning burgers that were recently crowned the best in Ireland, ran a competition that offered one family a chance to visit sunny Florida. The trip is worth a cool €5,000 (£4,500) and all of its diners across the Republic of Ireland were given the chance to enter. The competition attracted plenty of entries from customers keen to escape for the luxury break and to experience all that sunny Florida has to offer.
The family that scooped the prize were the Dunphys, from Portarlington, County Laois. Mum Siobhan, dad Fergus and their daughters Zoe and Emma couldn’t believe their luck when they were told about their win. The trip will give the family a chance to see the US for the first time and they’re hoping to visit the world-famous Disneyworld during their stay.
Sinead Barry, manager of the Dunphy’s local Eddie Rocket’s, confessed that the family were in shock when they got the news. She said:
“Siobhan couldn’t believe it when she got the call from Eddie’s and her husband Fergus even thought she was playing a joke on him when she broke the good news.”
Founded in 1989, Eddie Rocket’s and its smaller outlet brand Rocket’s brings American diner-style food to the people of Ireland and the UK. With it’s tempting menu that offers juicy hamburgers, spicy chilli burgers, sharing slider burgers or a mouth-watering sweet potato falafel burger, there’s plenty for burger lovers to get stuck into. For customer who crave something different, the restaurants offer buttermilk fried chicken tenders, rich garlic and parmesan fries and a wide range of shakes, as well as a delicious range of breakfast options for early birds.
