Right At Home Fundraising for Charity

Right At Home has pledged to raise an incredible £20,000 for Alzheimer’s Society.
The money will be raised across Right At Home’s 59 UK offices, which are spread across England and Wales. The care franchise already has plans in place to fundraise during Dementia Action Week for the charity, as well as to host ‘Cupcake Day’ on the 13th June.
By organising a partnership with Alzheimer’s Society, both parties will benefit from shared knowledge and expertise.
Right At Home has also been taken part in the charity’s Dementia Friends initiative, which strives to inform people about the realities of living with dementia. The care franchise has now made the commitment to create 1,000 new ‘friends’ across the next 12 months.
The CEO of Right At Home UK, Ken Deary, commented on the announcement: “As a national provider of homecare services, we are already committed to holding dementia-friendly activities for our clients and communities, as well as educating businesses and schools on how best to support those living with dementia.”
“Given our knowledge and the specialist care services we offer, it seems the natural step to join forces with a charity that is a great support system for those living with dementia.” Meanwhile, Alzheimer’s Society’s Director of Fundraising, Charlotte Matier stressed how grateful the charity was for Right At Home’s pledge: “On behalf of all at Alzheimer’s Society, I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone at the organisation, their commitment to both fundraise and raise awareness will really help to create a more positive future for people affected by dementia”.
