Revive!’s latest franchisee took eight months to review his investment options, before choosing to join the car business.

Ian Scott is now the proud owner of Revive! Glasgow, having been drawn to the franchise’s “culture, ethos and value”. He explained,

“There’s a real team there with openness, trust and transparency, and that’s what drove my decision to join the franchise.”

Before deciding to become a franchisee, Ian worked in the food industry and spent 10 years as a business development manager for a training company. Although he was keen to become his own boss, he knew there were gaps in his knowledge. That’s where Revive!’s training programme came in. Ian said,

“The biggest thing was the technical side of it – quite a lot of jargon there to get my head around - but the training was really detailed and far surpassed my expectations.”

Cathryn Hayes, Revive!’s Franchise Director was quick to recognise Ian’s dedication to the business:

“We’re delighted to welcome Ian to the Revive! family. I was impressed by his ambition and work ethic from day one and applaud the thorough way in which he did his research before making his final decision. Choosing the right franchise is so important – the fit has to be right for both the franchisor and franchisee – and this just can’t be rushed. I am sure Ian will be a great asset to our network and we wish him every success.”

When Ian first joined the car franchise, he had planned to run his branch as a family business with his son as a technician. But, as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the new franchisee chose to hit the ground running by hiring two experienced technicians.

“I am still planning to build a family business to hand over to my son when the time is right, but for now my aim is to have five vans on the road within three years,” Ian said.

Despite the current climate, the branch has been performing incredibly well. Ian added,

“It’s early days yet, but I’m delighted by the volume of quotations we are being asked for already.”
