Recognition Express launches road safety competition

Recognition Express has partnered with road safety charity BRAKE for a national school competition.
The annual event, which is now in its twelfth year, encourages children to design their own posters promoting road safety, based on the theme ‘No need to speed’. The judging panel will pick winners in regional categories and Recognition Express will reproduce their creations on large banners.
Then, schools will be able to display the winners’ posters for all to see during Road Safety Week in November. Plus, every competition champion will receive a personalised trophy to commemorate the occasion.
This year, the panel accepted entries via email and online upload, as well as post, and extended the deadline to make sure everyone had the chance to take part.
Chris Masters, Managing Director of B2B franchise Recognition Express said:
“The Covid pandemic has turned everything on its head this year and school children are one of the groups most affected. Our design a road safety banner competition has become a fixture in the calendar of many local schools and we have been hoping against hope that schools would be allowed to go back for the autumn term and take part.
“Whilst our cashflow is tight as a result of the lockdown, we believe road safety is very important, and are committed to keeping people safe. Our relationship with BRAKE is long standing and we didn’t want to let them down this year.”
He added:
"Our competition is a fantastic opportunity to engage primary school children and help establish good road safety sense for years to come. We are always impressed by the creativity and quality of the designs sent in each year.”
