Recognition Express has announced the winners of its annual road safety banner competition that was held across the UK.

B2B franchise Recognition Express has crowned the winners of its 2018 Road Safety Week banner competition.

The company had a tough task to pick the winning entries, as it received more than 3,000 entries from across the country that all conveyed 2018’s Road Safety theme of protecting those on two wheels. Just twelve children were picked as the best of the bunch, including Joseph Air from Altrincham. His eye-catching design won judges over as it was colourful and creative yet managed to clearly raise awareness of road safety, especially for cyclists and motorcyclists.

This year marks a decade of Recognition Express’ competition in partnership with road safety charity BRAKE, which invites primary school pupils from across the country to design a banner that can be displayed outside their school.

Director of Recognition Express, Alan Stones, said that the competition entries had been fantastic and that he hoped the winning banners would have a positive impact.

“This competition is one of the highlights of our year and we really look forward to receiving the children’s designs. The results are always fantastic and we are sure that Joseph’s banner will encourage people to think more about road safety and especially those on two wheels.”

The winning children’s schools were presented with a two metre by one metre banner of their design that could be displayed outside the school and high visibility drawstring bags were donated to the pupils by Recognition Express. Those who came out top were also presented with a special trophy to mark their artistic success.
