Recognition Express gears up for 2018’s road safety week in collaboration with road safety charity Brake.

Recognition Express is celebrating the tenth year of its annual Road Safety Week competition.

For a decade now, the B2B franchise and provider of work and school uniforms has partnered with national road safety charity Brake to hold its famous contest across the UK. Kids aged between four and 11 will have the chance to design a road safety banner, alerting the pupils, parents and local community to the potential dangers of the road.

Road Safety week will run from the 19th of November until the 25th and this year’s campaign will focus on how to keep cyclists and motorcyclists safe from harm on our roads. With more than 100 road users on two wheels getting injured every day in often preventable accidents, Brake and Recognition Express want to make sure that everyone is aware of the dangers faced by them.

Managing Director of Recognition Express, Nigel Toplis, commented on why he feels this year’s competition is especially important for children across the UK.

“We’ve been running this competition for ten years because road safety is such an important issue for everyone. The number of entries we receive rises year on year and the 2018 Bike Smart theme should inspire even more children and schools to take part. Most children have a bike and will be able to identify with the campaign and hopefully be more aware of keeping safe as a result.”

He added that although the deadline is approaching, there’s still time to enter the competition.

"There's still time to enter but you need to be quick! We are really looking forward to seeing the designs.”

12 lucky winners from across the country will get to see their road safety designs printed on a large-scale banner, which will then be displayed outside their school. As well as getting to see their work on display, the winners will also get high-visibility drawstring bags for every pupil in their school, making them popular with their classmates.

Since 1979, Recognition Express has been providing business, schools and organisations with high-quality personalised goods.
